Nothing says “community” like roasted chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese, zucchini bread, and a birthday cake.
Organized by trip leaders Rosey Rosetty-Wagner ’08 and Kwame Hall, the students of the George School service learning trip in Washington, DC hosted a George School alumni community potluck supper on Sunday evening. And, in keeping with potluck tradition, it was truly a community effort!
Students on the Washington, DC trip have begun their service work. During their trip they will work at S.O.M.E (So Others Might Eat), Martha’s Table, DC Central Kitchen, and a local mission. Early reports say they are having a great time!
This year George School students will be participating in a number of service trips throughout the world. This spring trips will go to Brazil, France, Mississippi, Nicaragua, and Washington DC. This summer groups will travel to Vietnam, Costa Rica, and Arizona. More information about each trip is below. Continue reading
