Reflections on the First Day of Service in France

From Abby ’17

Today was the first day of working in the schools. We broke up into groups of two and three and headed to the four different schools. The students range in age from very young children to high school. We worked as teachers aids and assisted with class. The best part of working with the three-to-five-year-olds is recess. There were three, possibly four recesses throughout the day. It was very fun to see the children run around and have them teach us their games. They were very hesitant at first but very quickly warmed up and we couldn’t keep them off us.
