Visiting La Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg

Today is my birthday. I got up at 9:15 a.m. and ate some cereal and bread with chocolate in it and my correspondent Blog 2Lucie gave me a necklace as a birthday present. We drove with her parents for about an hour to the city of Strasbourg to shop, eat at Subway and meet up with other French and American students (Violet, Kinsey, Christina, Quinn, Abby, Daisy).

We shopped and basically spent the whole day (from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) walking, which was super tiring. Then we went to la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg and walked up 330 stairs to get to the top. We could see the whole city from there. Violet and Christina bought me some birthday gifts at Place des Halles, which was super nice of them. Then my correspondent and I took the train to her aunt’s house. We ate and slept there because Lucie had a handball game the next day and her aunt’s house was closer to the place we needed to go. Her whole family sang happy birthday to me and they are trying their best to make me feel at home, which I do.
